I agree with the others. Red flags all over the place on this one.

I'd never pay anything in advance just to get into someone's database, I'd never sign an agreement that claims I'm an employee or give them my SSN or full background check or give them access to my credit report. If anything, they should be giving US access to THEIR credit report, as we're the ones who are granting them credit by completing a assignment in advance of payment.

This may be the tip of the iceberg. This kind of thing reminds me of 2007, when so many companies were scrambling to cut corners or find ways to increase revenues so they could stay in business - and hopefully limit or avoid staff cuts... Just proves that this is a cyclical business!
