This has to be regional for Service Link. I am paid $100 for a refi. If it's a HELOC where docs are sent directly to borrower, they have gone over all the docs with LO, in and out, the fee is $88.
As for Amrock, I was getting $95 for a Chase refi and $75 for Quicken with a $20 print fee if I had to print a copy.
These were local. Then I started getting calls to go 50+ miles out for the same fee. No thanks.
I get calls from Amrock once or twice a year for a week each time then nothing. I figure they have someone in the area doing these and when that person goes on vacation, I get called. And that is fine. I have always liked working for Title Source, fair fees and timely payment but to keep going down isn't something I want to do. My cost of doing business goes up.
Everyone needs to set their own fee at their comfort level. At present, I am getting enough work at my fees though I wouldn't mind a little more. Indiana recently raised the amount we can charge from $2 to $10 so I can start pursuing more GNW. |
