Re: echeck vendor payments posing problem for my bank
Posted by NVLSlady/VA on 12/10/18 7:11pm

I do prefer cashing option for those vs. deposit (one of my vendors); although there have never been any pymt woes during my relationship with the SS, I can't see myself ever depositing an eCheck from any of the majority of companies out there. Uh, uh No. From a banking perspective I personally feel that threatening account closure seems a bit extreme - if not irresponsible towards long-term, established account holders attempting to present a perfectly legitimate negotiable item (all any check is Is a printed piece of paper - and could be printed on a napkin).

Sounds like it's just a matter of education. Especially in a fraud frantic environment. Only time I encountered an issue was due to C.U. employee negligence (he entered vv012999 instead of VV012999 when verifying). I'd not feel warm (or fuzzy) machine feeding those; the financial chaos that can wreck (think returning ten fold and then some . . . and then imagine trying to collect THAT from the issuer!). No thanks.

Don't mind 'em a bit. And just may actually give me a reason to enter the edifice, say hello to the Humans on board (and grab a new year pocket calendar, a warm baked cookie, an apple cider or a cheap pen & keychain).
