I think most of us get that. But the difference is in how they handle it. Some companies simply expect us to be sitting around waiting for their docs, organizing our whole day around what they come up with. The best companies handle things differently. If there's a hold-up, they manage to keep us in the loop and work with us to try to get it done. As someone else indicated, we have to set boundaries and communicate them. If we can accommodate at a different time, great, but sometimes we may have to let it go.

I do find it interesting, though, that some companies manage to get documents out in plenty of time on a consistent basis...
