*text my hubby. Really*
When I did signings, I was never afraid for my safety when going to BO(s) house. I never refused to go based on anything I knew of borrower(s) based on loan docs. I would turn down signings because of the neighborhood, which had nothing to do with the BOs per se. I prepped myself upon entering the house for escape routes, which I can say I never needed. I had pepper spray in my brief case, which again, I never used. I kept my keys in my lap for protection and if I had to get out fast. Basically, just common sense.
I never texted anyone while at a signing. Before going into the house, I always texted hubby BOs names, address and the approximate time the signing would take. Someone always needs to know where you are.
