the meeting has not taken place. The last one was motivating at least for me. It inspired me to get out and do more direct marketing. Ananotary got inspired to go after more GNW. We network. I back up other notaries. They back me up. No way do I want a signing service getting in with my direct clients. I have referred business to Ananotary, Cheryl, Yoli, Janet, and many more. And, my direct clients appreciate that I have a back-up plan we can fall back on if I'm booked. Nobody steals anybody else's business.
That said the meetings are positive and encouraging. I (at least) learn from other notary adventures. I see how I could have handled something differently in a more positive manner. We learn from and encourage one another.
My pearls of wisdom this time around are about keeping up on your receivables. I think a lot of SS are really starting to struggle. Especially, with SD morphing into somewhat of a SS. The SS have lost most of the FATCO and ORTC business to SD. The battle is on.
Now, I've go to go get ready for a signing. And then, market, market, market.
