Hi all,
Thanks for all of these comments. I love engaging with you all and understand the questions here. I'd love to share some parameters and provide clarity for everyone on this new educational partnership.
1. This test and certification is NOT mandatory. We partner with Notary2Pro and offer a similar opportunity where we will move notaries up a tier if they become Notary2Pro certified. Our position is that anyone willing to invest in themselves to grow should be rewarded. Notary2Pro and Loan Signing System provide industry specific training to help you grow.
2. I'll have to go back and review the certification test you are taking. We made multiple edits to the test before release with Mark and LSS as I felt many of the scenarios were subjective and that it wasn't a fair demonstration of a signing agent's knowledge. In particular the question on the ARM concerns me as I don't expect our signing agents to be able to necessarily be able to answer those questions (nor should they). The opportunity for LSS and Mark of course is the opportunity to potentially sign up new signing agents for the paid course (they don't work for free after all) but this is by no means mandatory or required in anyway. It's an option.
3. By partnering with LSS, we achieve two major objectives for our company:
A. It provides signing agents with just another potential resource to learn and grow. The better our signing agents, the better our performance for clients. This is also a great sales tool for us to grow and maintain business. Mark is committed to providing a quality experience and does share some great information in a unique way. Notary2Pro does the same in a different way. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.
B. LSS has an excellent social media presence and their video technology is exciting. They've agreed to provide short 30 sec to 1 min videos that we can send via mobile app and text a few minutes before signings to point out common errors or lender specific documents that are often missed. This is a HUGE value add for both you and us especially if you are a busy signing agent with 4 or 5 loans. It's very hard to read the 5 page instruction sheet for each file so we're trying to find creative ways to communicate succinctly and effectively with our signing agents. We're not video experts. They are. Partnership works in that regard. We can deliver the message and work with them to build it.
To address the Eversprint audio... I was approached by a gentleman in CA that wanted to conduct an audio interview regarding our growth as we appeared on the Inc. 500/5000 for the 5th consecutive year and I agreed. I don't know that I said it was "easy" to earn $100k as a signing agent (if I did I certainly misspoke and apologize) but we DO have signing agents that I know on a personal level that have made $100,000 or more in a year. They often work not only with companies like us but have local title company relationships where they are paid more (it's direct) or they get booked for a day or two at a time in their office during overflow. I'd encourage all of our signing agents to explore this and market to local title companies (but not too much! We need you haha).
I hope this clarifies our position on all of this. We're always available to answer questions and try to make decisions in the best interest of you, our clients, and our business. This wasn't a rash decision but it does further some objectives we have for our company as the industry evolves to a more tech / digital friendly environment. Stick with us and we'll try to keep you informed and ready.
-Mark
