I prefer to think of this as a non-issue. I've been a notary for almost 15 years and in that time, the only constant I see regarding notary certificates provided is that they're all over the place. It's our responsibility to make sure that the certificate we sign and apply our stamp to are the correct ones. I approach every assignment with the expectation that I'll probably need to be replacing at least some, so when I get one that's correct, it's a bonus.

Frankly, my overall impression is that title companies and others are catching on faster to this change than to some others that have happened in the past. If you make sure you keep a good supply of loose certificates of all types on hand, you'll be set.

BTW, I also bought a couple of the stamps that have the new box on them (available on the Supplies page on this site). Most of the time, there's no room for them, but once in a while it saves adding a whole new cert. Also, I already have jurat stamps, so combining the two sometimes works instead another loose cert.
