It never ceases to amaze me how we're expected to do night and weekend signings, but the companies that hire us have no one available to answer the phone at those times to address any problems or concerns that may come up in the course of a signing appointment. So we're pretty much out there on an island, praying that there are no glitches in the paperwork. That's one reason why I feel it's imperative that we get the docs in enough time before the signing appointment to have a chance to go over them and at least be able to clear up any questions that we might have prior to the appointment. The "print and run" technique is fraught with peril :-)
I will say that the "better" companies that I work with do have someone who will return my call at least relatively promptly if I call with a question or problem during an off hours signing. |
