Re: Rudimentary question...how do you all track passwords?

That's one of the best ideas (an abbreviated password) especially if you're going to write them down. I have many, many passwords, a whole spreadsheet worth for may sites I have to use for business. Since most have to be signed into every 30 days, I will put a note to myself in Outlook to sign in and update or change passwords if needed on a certain day.

The spreadsheet itself is password protected and I have it on my drop box so I can sign in from any one of my windows accounts. I use different Windows accounts for different business activities.

The below headers are actually one line across, with information below the header.

NAME STORE NAME/Web Address/ACCOUNT # / MEMBER I.D./USER NAME/PASSWORD/DATE/ (License Key/Customer Number) < this is just extra information.

I click on the web address, then sign in and change the date to today. I put all dates for sites that need to signed into or changed every 30 dates in red.

Been doing this for many years. You may not need as complicated, but even a simple version works.

I have different wholesale lenders, their upload sites, credit bureaus, appraisal companies, title company sites, loan software sites, Desktop Underwriter, FedEx UPS, Amazon, eBay, etc.. etc.

If you use a site like drop box that you can sign into, it doesn't matter that you have a new computer or screen name.

I'm setting up a new computer too with all new peripherals. New fangled stuff takes time to setup and learn.
