… to remind ourselves of what we as notaries do .... notarize signatures. Period. Plain and Simple. No matter how complicated things look, not your worry. Not our job to stress about what forms are what, where we get them (we don't!), if they're filled out correctly by them (according to the expectations or their receiving agency). If by chance you've been told you have to supply forms, like this True and Valid Statement (?), that's just wrong. It's very confusing why you're worried about it.
Here's your job: ID the people who are signing, give a quick look at the contents of the notarizeable docs to make sure all blanks are filled in (if they obviously need to be filled in; you can't notarize a blank document), properly complete your CA compliant notarial certificates, and badabing badaboom, you're done. Focus on that. The rest is their job. |
