Re: Printer - replace or repair?
Posted by  Greg Wilson of OR on 7/9/18 9:44pm Msg #595708
I have had a Brother MFC9970cdw for six or seven years, and other than maintenance such as replacing drum unit, fuser unit, etc., it's been problem-free. In other words, not a lemon, it's a great printer. I think the issue you describe can be corrected but I'm not sure how. I had a similar problem three years ago and after trying everything related to a printer problem , I discovered the problem was a faulty print cartridge--and not one, but the next one I installed as well. I immediately switched the outlet I was buying cartridges from, no cartridge related issues since.
