A thought on these "cloud-based" subscription software deals - annual cost to you aside, accepting that model puts you totally at the mercy of the software vendor. If they go belly-up, so does your data. Quicken addressed this issue in their 2019 release - after catching a lot of flak from users - by stressing that the data is yours forever, and the software will always work locally without a subscription, but their subscription service gives you access to cloud backup and additional features. That's fine, but if the data doesn't reside on your local machine and the software won't run locally, you should run - not walk - in another direction.

That being said, Win 10 certification is for hardware such as your printer, and that may just be a question of updating the printer drivers. You should be able to get them from the printer manufacturer's website.

Any software package that runs in Win 7 should work in Win 10, unless they're doing something really funky and specific to Win 7. When they say it's "not certified" for Win 10, it's just another way of saying "We didn't test it on Win 10 because now we're pushing our new subscription model".

So the only way to know for sure is to try it. You might want to consider parallel testing until you are confident that you're getting the same results from both Win 7 and Win 10.

In the unlikely event that you install the software and it doesn't run properly, Win 10 allows you to run it in compatibility mode. To do this, right click on the program's icon and select "Properties". One of the tabs you'll see is labeled "Compatibility". On that tab you have two main options: run the "compatibility troubleshooter", which will try to detect and fix any problems, or just check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and then select Windows 7 on the drop-down box (leave all the other settings unchecked). Compatibility mode is on a program by program basis, so selecting this will not affect the rest of your system.

The one caveat in all of this is that since the vendor won't test the software on Win 10, you'll probably out of luck as far as tech support. I suspect their answer to any question will be "You'll have to upgrade to our cloud-based software". Beyond that, you will not get any future upgrades so if they add new features you'll be unable to use them.
