I doubt if they'll pay you more if you promise to show up in a suit and tie. Personally, I always wear "business casual", meaning a decent shirt, slacks and shoes. I've seen other notaries who dress like slobs, but that's their business. From what I've observed, the signers of the documents don't really care how the notary dresses as long as they're not repulsive. They mainly care that the papers get signed and the transaction goes through.
I'm a little unclear as to why you were meeting with other signing agents. The ones that I've stumbled across were there to have documents signed on a different transaction than the one I was there for. |
