You probably already know this, but keep in mind that the ScanSnap needs to be connected to a computer/laptop with its software downloaded in order to function. So if you're dragging one around, you're dragging both... That's probably true of any scanner beyond the simple handheld ones, unless it runs from an app on a Smartphone.
