Wow! Don't bother calling the Harris County D.A.'s office, Check Fraud Unit! The woman I spoke to said that it wasn't "Theft by Check" in Harris County because he mailed it. (?) I called the Attorney General's Office and Pat Davis said they have no jurisdiction, but she provided the number for Texas Lawyer Referral. 800-252-9690.
