There is no standard because everyone's situation is different. Are you talking about doing what we call GNW (General Notary Work)? If so, most of us separate out travel fees and notarizations. State laws vary greatly, so your first step is to check to see what your state allows. Some notaries charge by time, some by miles, but whatever you come up with, be sure to include enough to cover more than just fuel. You have lots of other overhead that has to be covered somehow. This has been discussed here many times over the years, so I'm not going to get into that again, but an Orange button search might yield tons of info. If that's not getting any results, a Google search often brings up links to the archives here.

If you're talking about loan signing, fees are normally quoted at a flat rate for a standard assignment. There's lots to read on that subject, too. The most important thing, though, if you're considering getting into loan signings, is to make sure you know what you're doing before you jump in.
