Folks were taking out a heloc on their NYC condo to purchase another condo in Boston area near their children and grandchildren. They have lived in Montecito for 15 years, but lived most of their lives in NYC.
They told me that they had the Montecito condo in escrow for sale, but when the buyer found out that the complex was not defined as property in the red zone, he backed out and they are putting in back on the market again as they plan to move in April. They can always rent it as an airbnb. It's a beautiful property with gorgeous ocean views.
At the end of the signing, Mr. B asked, "do you accept tips?" (oh boy do I!). I said well, yes, that is very generous of you. I thanked them both and left them, happy to know they will be closing escrow on Monday on their new condo in Boston and done with the zone temporarily.
I went to the Habit at East Beach, and as I was having a lettuce wrap SB Charburger with carmelized onions and cheese, and tempera green beans, a homeless man walked by and said "boy am I hungry for a hamburger, guess I'll figure it out." So I bought him a cheeseburger and fries too. The manager says he kinda hangs out at the eatery, it's his "habit".
Made good use of that tip, I did. 74, lovely day, no wind, I went home and took a 5-mile hike to work off that hamburger...I hope the homeless guy liked his lunch too.
Printed all my docs for tomorrow...good to go! Another nice day tomorrow before Thursday's storm. |
