Re: not even intriguing to work for them

They send out extreme low balls on SD in my area all the time. I'm talking 40 dollars for refis with witnesses.

I had accepted a single job from them. The order said it was an assumption, offered pay was alright for the area and my level of experience at the time. After I accept it, they call me to go over it. Turns out that it wasn't one signing. It was two signings, one in the early afternoon and one in the late afternoon, in two different cities. I then asked about payment for the second signing. They said the pay was included. They were only offering 35 dollars for the second half the of the signing. Plus they required witnesses, which the offer didn't mention.

I set that one down. The guy on the phone got upset and shouted at me. I then responded to their next signing offer with an "I don't want to work for this company." and I listed the reasons why, which were entirely reasonable. They sent me a snarky reply.

That was Stewart Title Services out of TX, though. Don't know if it's the same entity.
