"All the crazy creepy stuff he says and does just doesn't seem normal. His poor, poor, communication patterns and inability to see reality makes me wonder if he's losing it."
Reagan was known as the "Great Communicator", even though he was losing it towards the end. Trump just seems to be incapable of completing a thought. I don't know that he's losing it; I find myself wondering if he ever really had it in the first place.
Having had experience dealing with people with dementia - including my father, who had Alzheimer's - I don't see the signs of it in Trump. It's not like he loses his train of thought, it's more like the train never leaves the station in the first place. I feel sorry for the interpreters that have to translate his word salad into another language when he meets with the leader of another country.
He is not the brilliant businessman he wants everyone to believe he is - brilliant businessmen do not bankrupt 6 companies.
Q: How do you bankrupt 3 casinos, and one of them twice?? A: By not understanding the business you are in, and totally mismanaging the companies.
What he's good at is marketing himself - convincing people that his name means something. Most of the deals he's got going on are licensing deals - he sells his name, not his alleged expertise.
That being said, Ivanka seems to be a good businesswoman, and she definitely has his ear. If she can just take the phone away from him so that he can't tweet anymore... But I agree with you - there's no reason for her to be in the West Wing because she has zero experience, and there's definitely no reason for her to get a security clearance (which is in the works, despite what bagger said). |
