who is known to be anal retentive and documents EVERYTHING, has a memo in which he documented Trump's request to kill the investigation of Michael Flynn back in February.
Normally, this would be he said/he said, but courts have long held that contemporaneous FBI notes and memos are admissible as evidence. There is a consensus that the FBI does not lie; on the other hand, Trump and his crew lie repeatedly, to the point where they are contradicting each other at times. We have seen countless examples of this over the past four months - the WH comms team trots out surrogates to sell a story, and Trump throws them under the bus the next day by saying something else.
The Senate should subpoena this memo and any other documents Comey has regarding his conversations with Trump. If what is being alleged here is true and verifiable, it's clearly obstruction of justice.
That's an impeachable offense.
The question is - at what point does the GOP start putting what's right for the country over what's needed by their party? Is it Make America Great Again, or keep Republicans in charge again? |
