Sarah Huckleberry Sanders, when pressed today about the lies Gen. John Kelly told yesterday regarding Rep. Wilson, stated that it was "totally inappropriate" to question the statements of a 4-star general.
In what country, Sarah? Certainly not this one. We're totally allowed to do that here - the military reports to the citizens, not the other way around. We can challenge what they say and demand answers, and if we don't like the answers, they can be fired.
The fact is that what Kelly claimed Rep. Wilson said was a lie - there is a video of her speech that proves she never said the things he claimed she said. But in Trumpworld, once a lie is released, it MUST be defended and never retracted. Donald Trump NEVER apologizes or admits that he was wrong. So Sanders was up there on the podium insisting that Kelly stood by his statements, while an incredulous press corps was saying, "But wait, we have proof he was wrong!" And Sanders then went to the tired excuse that the press was just making these stories up - it was just "fake news"- and said we shouldn't question a 4-star general.
Sarah - hate to break this to you, but it ain't fake when we can see it with our own eyes and hear it with our own ears. What's fake is your pathetic attempt to make it into something else, at the command of your boss. You should be ashamed of yourself and find another job because you're not very good at this one.
