Disenfranchising the disabled
Posted by MikeC/TX of TX on 12/10/17 7:11pm Msg #71281
Kris Kobach is the co-chair of Trump's phony and unnecessary "voter fraud" commission, the Kansas Secretary of State, and a vehement believer that voter fraud is running rampant throughout the country. He drafted and pushed hard for the passage of a voter-fraud law in Kansas which recently resulted in the votes of two dozen disabled persons being discarded in a local election. In Kobach's world, it seems that only white male Republicans in good health should be allowed to vote:

Kobach is one of those who insist that there were up to 5 million illegal votes cast in the 2016 presidential election - a statement that is based on zero evidence - and who think that strict voting laws are needed. He joins people like AL Senate candidate Roy Moore, who is on record as saying that women should not be allowed to vote and that women and Muslims should not be allowed to serve in an elected office.

People like this are not exhibiting conservative values - they're radicals. We need to stop them, and the only way to do that is through the same vote they're trying to suppress.
