Wow! The millions of times I've been to Cayucos I never knew a lake existed behind the hills there. It's as big as the whole town, now anyway. Lake fishing begins in a couple of months. woohoo!
Now I have another reason to go there besides antique shopping and the New Years day Polar dive at the beach which is a real hoot. We usually stop there on our way to Cambria and back.
Used to vacation and surf there when I was a teen. Now it's a lunch stop on the way back from camping at Big Sur. When you haven't shaved for 5 days and are a little gamey the fish & burger shacks in Cayucos still welcome you!  |
