Gig Economy Apps - Thousands of jobs at the ready?

Came across a web report listing a number of Apps for the digital age of the Gig economy (I list a few here). These downloads are a doorway to connecting workers and clients/businesses. There were tons more.

1. Airbnb - A community-driven hospitality company, Airbnb enables homeowners to offer their homes and unique experiences to travelers. Monetize your extra space and earn some extra income as a host using the app to list your home for prospective travelers to search by price, neighborhood, amenities, and more.

2. Amazon Flex - http://flex.amazon.com/

3. Bellhops - If you are at least 18 and are physically able and strong, you can start earning money by providing friendly local moving services. Bellhops provide exceptional service while making moving day less stressful for customers.

4. Care.com - http://www.care.com/

5. Caviar - Work whenever you want by becoming a courier and earning up to $25/hr. Deliver food from local restaurants to homes/offices as long as you have a car, truck, bike, scooter, or motorcycle, are at least 18, and have a smartphone to use the mobile Caviar app.

6. Closet Collective - If you have designer pieces, you can make extra cash by renting them out using one of three easy listing options: free concierge service, white glove service, or the DIY listing forum.

7. CrowdFlower - App for data scientists, mathematicians and statisticians, to psychologists, entrepreneurs, and information systems engineers who want to become contributors & complete simple tasks from home.

8. Dolly - App that gives workers the chance to load, haul, and deliver on your schedule while making money. Dolly ICs undergo background checks and are backed by commercial insurance policies.

9. DoorDash - Food delivery app that helps Dashers deliver food from top restaurants; Dashers undergo background checks after being approved and onboarded. Choose when to work by delivering breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

10. Etsy - a marketplace for people to sell their handmade, vintage, or creative goods online. You can connect with nearly 30 million buyers who spent close to $3 billion last year when you choose to sell with this gig economy app.

11. Fancy Hands - Seeks to provide assistants for everyone. You can apply to be an assistant and accept tasks on your own timetable. Get paid per task with consideration for how long it takes you to complete it, what time of day it is, and how complicated the task is.

12. Favor - a gig economy app that puts you in charge of your work hours when you choose to be a Runner. Set your own hours and get the chance to explore your city when you start earning cash with the Favor app.

13. Feastly - gig economy app designed to connect chefs with eaters looking for more intimate, home-cooked meals. Get paid to share your love of food with customers who are happy to pay for a unique experience.

14. Fiverr - Freelance services for lean entrepreneurs. This gig economy app is renowned for its affordability and ease of use. Freelancers from copywriters to digital marketers easily fill their work schedules with clients from around the globe.

15. Freelancer - Largest freelancing and crowdsourcing marketplace with more than 25 million users. Connect to employers and find work from anywhere while doing what you love by serving as a freelancer.

16. Gigwalk - find jobs within your area whenever it’s convenient for you.

17. Grubhub - A gig economy app that gives drivers the chance to deliver food in your area and on the schedule you want to have. If you have a driver’s license and car insurance or a bike and state ID and a bank account, you can apply and start making extra money as a Grubhub driver.

18. Handy - Handy is the gig economy app for cleaners and handymen. Clients who want assistance around the house will connect with you using the web or an iOS or Android device, and you can start earning up to $22/hour as a cleaner or $45/hour as a handyman.

19. HelloTech - You provide tech support on your own schedule after you complete a basic skills assessment to prove your abilities. Specifically for customers who need help w/technology.

20. HomeAway - Offer your home as a place for others to stay. Make money renting your home using the app that reaches travelers in 190 countries across more than 50 dedicated sites.
