Another example of why people need to look and research and not just go out on a whim on things. In FL it is big as well recently, and not heard any complaints. You have to get certain equipment attached if you want to sell it back, and also if your power goes out, you need certain equipment to keep yours running, or it all just shuts down. All of those are extra's and add on's. Here, taxes are not assessed like that as much as they look on a scope of your neighborhood and appraise the whole area about the same for the same size house every few years. I believe FL has tax incentives as well for solar and energy saving things like hurricane windows and insulation and such ...I think it is a good thing, but do it right and get informed before you sign a contract. |
