Our first responders are under paid. Santa Maria Fire Department went on strike today for higher wages,as they are not on par with other cities and counties fire personnel, hence there is a lot of turnover, like 40%.What a shame that the city doesn't take care of its own fire department.What would we do without these super human heroes?
Love firefighters! My property is a designated base camp in the event of fire due to my positioning, and availability of water, power and cell service, especially in a PG&E power outage. CalFire can make themselves at home! I will go to the beach.
