| We ventured out yesterday for inflammation fighting foods and found sesame seeds, buckwheat groats and asparagus on sale at Whole Foods. Rain was mostly over by the time we lit out, but what a night. Hail, high winds, over 1.5 inches of rain overnight. But by mid day, the sun was out and we started peeling layers off and walked Pismo Beach, where it was still a little windy, and so beautiful. We ended up back home just before dark, after a stop at Ace Hardware for some new herbs and beet starters. Our garden is still pumping from last year. Tomatoes are sweet and juicy. Love that we have so much water in our well and aquifers. And lots and lots of weeds will keep us busy soon. Spring is welcome. There are a ton of orange poppies already. We need to take a drive to the Carrizo Plain soon. |
