When I paid online I received my tag and registration soon after. So far so good. They received my online payment and all was well. No, I wouldn't drive the truck without a current tag.
Then then the check evidently came across the books so they refunded the payment I made online. Oh, crap, I said. They're confused.
I was expecting another letter with an apology and please reimburse us the refund they mistakenly sent. I deposited it in my checking just in case they might push the check through. Don't know how, but they're guberment. The fee was not small. About $700.
Instead, I got threats and penalties and they would not accept a cc or check payment. So I sent a money order as demanded in the return envelope they provided, over a month ago. I have copies of everything.
Now....knowing how slow they are, I'm just waiting for them to catch up internally with their books.
