Jan Mondragon - All Service...
All Service Notary and Signings rep. Jan Mondragon owes me $175 for a signing for which I rode a ferry to an island and completed. I wonder if anyone else has worked for her and has had trouble with getting paid.
Thanks,
Elizabeth

She has a horrible reputation...pull out all stops and make her pay you. Contact the title company and tell them about her lackluster performance. Tell them you will work for them directly, can her butt....she's a user.

Re: Jan Mondragon - All Service...Thief! Cheat!
I have written about her many times - she is a cheat! It took months - she is finally in SC.
Always search the messages if you don't find something in SC. I keep posting....and you people are NOT doing your homework/research on who you are taking work from. It is critical these days to protect yourselves in every possible way....new or old client. Times are tough and we need to stay vigilant and on top of things. Here are some messages- her home address is in a couple of them as I am so ANGRY about her.

Glad you asked - they are not linked right now, but will be in a few minutes. As I said, it took a long time to get her in SC.

Re: Jan Mondragon - All Service...Home address:
Thank you, Jules! I haven't been ripped off by this person THANKS to SC, but I know others who have besides you, and in this climate, not one of us should be taken advantage of.

You're Welcome, Cheryl. I am guilty as well -
I had not done work for her before - she made it sound as though I had. ...very personable because she wanted something. As I have said over and over: buyers are liars. She was buying - I got sold.
But, let's look at what should have triggered a response in me should I have been thinking self-preservation...
1. her email address is hotmail. Really, who uses hotmail for their business? I know some do, but it is so associated with sexual overtones, why would one want to be guilty by association?
2. Not enough information in her email as to who she or her company are. No links to website either. One phone number, no fax, etc. Most importantly: no addresses beyond email.
3. Nothing in SC (signing central) - no way to see history. No company listed. Turns out she was hiding behind a notary listing that without an address, can't search her out.
I admit (as much as it kills me) that I took the job anyway, although there was nothing in print at that time to warn me away and/or to disregard. Some of these things I didn't notice right away....so - this is all on me and my being slow and feeling magnanimous on one hand with probable underlying desperation and wanting to work.
Whatever, in the final analysis, I let my guard down. You, dear Reader, must avoid my mistake and not let this happen to you. This is warning to those who think it can't happen to them, won't happen to them, it only happens to others but not me, and so on. Don't make excuses for these companies - any of them - if you love yourself.
In case you are wondering, I would rather sweep this under the rug and not admit to you this episode. What kind of help would that be to others though?

I am owed for 2 signing. I have one that is 90 days old the other one is 60 days old. She has been good to work for (for me) until this year. I sent her several late noitices made many call and she wont answer either way. The last notice I said pay me in 7 days or I will post (your) her payment history with me every where they would let me so here it is. I think I will also let the Title know. I have only had 1 other person not pay me ever, so that tells you a lot.

I'm not sure it would help, but you might contact the California SOS Notary Division (since she is also a notary), and let SOS know she is not paying valid debts and lying about other things (claiming you have done work for her when you haven't). I know that a Notary commission can be revoked if you don't pay a court judgment (state law), don't know if that extends to unpaid bills which don't have a judgment entered.
