Need help finding a good loan officer

As odd as this sounds, my folks need a mort for a purchase and cant seem to get anyone to return their calls. They have excellent credit,no debt, etc. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I no longer handle signings so I cant really help them out. If anyone can email me some suggestions of someone you know who's professional and knows their 'stuff' I'd really appreciate it. I can be reached at [e-mail address]. Thanks so much.

I think I'd recommend that contact someone at WF. If

they're not careful, they'll end up with a broker. It doesn't sound like they need to pay extra fees for that service.

Thats exactly who didn't get back to them. I'm really suprised.

Is their contact local or an 800#? They could try to get a

local # through a Wachovia branch. BTW, I have no personal interests here.
There's also LendingTree or Quicken Loans. You might also see who's advertising on BankRate.com.

Call your city's Chamber of Commerce and see if one of their members is a Realtor and ask for a referral.

How about a local bank or credit union?

Then you don't phone - they walk in and ask...they won't turn back face-to-face business and they at least help the local economy.

For a purchase - isn't their realtor helping them get financing??
