Re: this should be in leisure? You are not talking about notary

No. I think it belongs here. There are many state notary networks and they have been discussed often here. Most recently after Brenda Stones article about Notary Networks was published.
You can do a search on here and see why it's pertinent.

I agree, Zana.

**In response, BTI Wind Energy pledged to sell inventory only from companies with proven track records. Next, Mike and Kelly set up the “Harvest the Wind Network” to address the need for knowledgeable sales and service staffs. To ensure sales, service and repair work is done correctly, all network wind specialists and service technicians must undergo specialized training.**

The network concept is to pull together pre-qualified professionals that title companies can rely upon for professionalism and knowledge. This sounds very similar.

You are so right - as everyone who has posted to this point knows very well! Wink The first time I looked at the linked article, however, I just skimmed over it and didn't see the connection, as I was printing docs at the time. I'm guessing the same thing happened to Sheila, my fellow CA network member. I just went back and actually read it, so now I get it!

Thanks Zana - and Brenda!! Couldn't agree more... Smile

I shoould have said that my post was not about windmills but networks. I have been accused of being a windmill fanatic.

I did skim it the first time, and the connection didn't fully register. I re-read it and see your point. I agree Networks of all sorts have a common thread. In our industry, there is strength in numbers.

Networks are a good beginning.
They can be used to become a non-profit coops, like the ones used by farmers to pool the resources of those in agiven area, to exercise control of what are proper, fair and acceptable pratices, to keep prices fair and to get paid.
One of our pack and shipping association tried this several years ago. It failed for many reason unrelated to the organization setup. One of the problems was it was set up to be one national coop. The lesson was the need to be set up within and using one state laws.
A coop of a number of members will get the attention of your state's officials who commission notaries and the elected state officials.
Aneed crying for a solution are all the operations we as NSA have to deal with who cheat us. Think, several ss now are owned and operated off shore.
