e-signings
What companies are looking for notaries to do e-signings? I just picked up a laptop and wanted to register with some.

I've had my laptop now for about 3 yrs & the e-signs
have virtually dried up. I get about 1-2 a yr now - I figured I barely pd for the laptop, but plan on using it for othe bus. ventures. So much for our paperless society. Sometimes w/ e-signs, you had almost as much paper anyway- just 30 - 40% less printing. IMO <:-(

Me too - I've had a laptop for 3.5 years..have had one
request for an e-signing in my 5 years in business...based on my market, I'd never upgrade my phone service unless I had companies beating down my door for them with big-bucks offers...

I’d guess that Flagstar and Amtrust to be the major players in e-signings. Also Amtrust I think is now NYCB (New York Community Bank) Mortgage. I believe you have to be on their “Approved Notary” list to work with either company. Several years ago I did like ten, in a few months, I had a laptop (not an Apple) I haven’t done any this year.

Les is right! Flagstar and Amtrust(NYCB) are the major
players in game at this time. On average, I conduct 3 - 5 esignings a month with Amtrust being the dominate one. At one time, it was Flagstar. The flavor of the month continues to change.
