4 Names on Notarial Certificate
I will be completing several DOTs with 4 signers each. I do not see any reason that I cannot have all 4 signers on 1 notarial certificate. Naturally, I will complete a line for each signer in my Journal, but I see no legal reason that I cannot have all 4 names on 1 notarial certificate. Any thoughts on this?

If all are present and signing at the same time---why not? Heck, I'd attach a loose cert. if I needed more space and sign dozens...hundreds. Whatever.

The source of those documents in closing packets that have a separate notarization for each signer is almost surely some anally obsessive lawyer who couldn't really give a good explanation of why he wants to require separate certifications, but thinks it looks more legal. And it generates more paper and more work for his client, and that, in his view, entitles him to charge a higher fee. My incliniation, when I see that sort of thing, is to say, "Sure, no problem, I'll do all the needless redundant notary certifications you want. The first one is included in my closing fee. The remainder are $6 each."
