Fax backs

I am doing fax backs right now. Instead of their list, I am just sending the whole package.
A lot less time than picking out what they want. Let them pick it out.

Thanks, Cup

You just peed in the milk of those of us who demand adequate compensation for faxbacks. The next time the title company to which you just faxed an entire package asks me for 20 pages of faxbacks, and I tell them what my fee is, they're going to come back with the response that there's this signing agent in the Ozarks who voluntarily sends back the whole package.

I don't guess you'd listen if I suggested you could make a lot more money with a pot farm up there in the mountains, would you? Just a thought.

Re: Thanks, Cup

Many thanks HisHughness. I agree. If I were to fax back an entire file I would be standing at ! to say nothing of my phone bill if to an out of my area code.
P.S. to Cupguy: when I have to faxback it's doesn't take much time to pull out the pages, fax them back and then leave them on the top of the stack. I never put them back in from whence they came. Let the receiving person do that!.

I also have a POT farm in the Ozarks. Got to make money anyway you can. Hate those Black helicopters. Good thing I have my camo. It is tough hauling 100's of gallons of water all the way to the plot. Signing is so easy. How many nickel bags do you want?

Hope you charged them an adequate faxback fee

to justify faxing 100 or so pages as opposed to 20 or so pages.

Good grief.

I dunno...

IF I had a superfast or dedicated-line fax that would handle a huge pile of papers without me babysitting the darn machine, for $25 I'd sure put the whole pile on and let them do the picking with the ulterior motive that if they had to do the work, they'd stop with the faxbacks.

Not having that capability, I charge dearly for this stuff. It's my TIME that counts the most and the fact that while this is faxing, my line is busy so I can't get another job for the duration of the fax.

Re: It's been a while since I had a fax back

I recall having a conversation that included a fee and giving the person a choice of me going and faxing then dropping the next day or making it time to have the package delivered the next day.

That's right, put it up there and push send. How hard is that? A lot easier than picking out 50 pages THAT I GOT PAID FOR! and sending.

It would be sweet justice if it actually went to a machine

that printed the doc's out as opposed to it going to an email address. The sweet justice is that they'll bear the burden of the extra expense of the paper.

We should ALL do that (if it doesn't impose an expense on us anyway!!) Smile

JUST KIDDING! Don't get crazy on me! tee hee

I think that is so funny! I did a closing for servicelink and it was a Bank Of America refi. There were 147 pages to the refi, they required 58 pages to be faxed back. (I did not know this prior to accepting it). NEVER AGAIN! what they pay me to do the closing doesnt cover my time, paper, or gas, let alone the phone bill to fax these back. I wish I would have faxed all 158 pages back just to annoy the heck out of them. What gets me is this closing was at 6pm, I overnighted the package back and it was delivered to them at 8:30 am their time, per fed ex tracking. If they dont start until 9am, that means the fex ex pkg there before they got the fax off the machine. Now how silly is that? I think they do this just to annoy us.
