Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouse

Would you rather have no raise at all? $2 extra per notarization times 100 notarizations is $200 more in your pocket, and $200 more that is exempt from self-employment tax...

Re: Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouse

In Alabama, until the 1st of this year we were only allowed to charge $.50, a fee that had been set in the 1940's. Now we are allowed to charge $5.00 which is 10 times more than what we used to be able to do. To me that is huge even thought I hope we can get up to $10.00 before too long.

Ohio is still $2 ... wish it was likely to go up but I don't think it's even under discussion.
