The Scheduling Desk
Today I had to give back a signing. They called me for a signing in my next town.
She told me that I will be paid directly from title and it was a last minute signing and I could schedule with the borrower at any time. I accepted and when I received the CL I found that it was some company with a relationship with My Notary Connection, I did a search on SC and bang! it had 1.5 stars. I quickly send her an email cancelling. I hate returning signings but I can't give credit if you have bad credit.
Any body here have any experience dealing with these 2 companies?

Jose, did they reply to your returning the closing?
Also, I would've called title to see if they could put me on the HUD before turning it down outright.
But to each their own.

Carrie, ya know I love ya, but how about not working for
them at all. Why keep them in business? Pay up front, in 6 months, or NOT AT ALL, as long as we work for them, they'll stay in business. And if they go out of business, they'll HOPEFULLY pass it on to a REPUTABLE company...
Know what I mean chickita?...lol

its NOT about working for the SS, if he were to get on the
HUD in my opinion. Screw the SS!
I would have at least tried to get on the HUD. Docs would've probably came from TC anyway, so he could have potentially gained a new client out from the scum bag SS.
Don't want to keep lowlife-lowballers in business at all.
Marketing to THEIR clients - I have absolutely NO issues with!

Re: Jose, did they reply to your returning the closing?
Just an observation....but if Carrie calls title and gets herself put on the HUD, then she kinda did screw the 2 star signing company. And if enough notaries do what Carrie suggested, then wouldn't that eventually put the signing company out of business? Especially if the title company finds out that the signing company they are using is not paying the notaries to get their loans closed. The title company would eventually just start coming directly to us and the poor signing company would have no business. I think Carrie has a great idea.....and why should we have to turn down the business......just go directly to the title company and get paid.

I think it's rare that a TC will put you on the HUD when
that is not normally how they do things. I only have one TC I work with that regularly puts the notary on the HUD. When I work for a SS, I don't usually see the SS listed on the HUD either.

Re: I think it's rare that a TC will put you on the HUD when
Agree with Copperhead VA, Title co. deal with SS for a reason. As long as their loans get closed, they do not care if you get paid or not. They send out their checks to one company, and do not want to deal with individual notaries. Even when you do not get paid, the title co. will not deal with you, as they tell you to take it up with your SS. If notaries start doing this, you may be blacklisted from good SS, as they think you are going to steal their accounts and go over their heads trying to make more money. To each their own, but personally, I wouldn't do it.

Thanks PegiT. And to CLARIFY I would ONLY do this to those
SS that purposely screw NSA's out of pay. I have great on-going working relationships with many many SS and would NEVER do this to them.

I recently accepted a signing from the scheduling desk. They met my fee and I was told I'd be paid in around 10 days directly from title. They were right, the title company paid in less than 2 weeks.
