As if it couldn't get worse...
Apparently there are fake NNA background certificates.

I don't agree at all!
Maybe that was intended to be in jest, but it's too serious an issue to joke about, imo. That kind of action - and thinking - just provides more fodder for some to believe that notaries can't be trusted and reinforces the perceived need for more controls on us. In the end it does extremely more harm than good!
Let's not forget that the office of Notary Public is supposed to represent integrity in a transaction... Stupid actions like that just stomp on whatever credibility we are able to achieve. Let's not shoot ourselves in the foot on this issue - or worse yet, in the head!

Re: I don
I'm actually surprised that this hasn't happened sooner - there are always "entrepreneurs" who will find a way to make a quick buck in situations like this. The fact that some notaries would stoop that low is unfortunate, but we keep seeing news reports of notaries who don't seem to care about integrity...
PS: I just noticed that NR is cutting off all reply subject lines after an apostrophe - that's very weird...

That's even worse....
If there are SS companies forging BGC certificates, they need to be outed.

Re: As if it couldn
This is true. There are NSAs faking theirs. You must be on Signingagents.com so you can be verified.

Re: As if it couldn
This is exactly why I keep saying that the hiring agencies need to do the background check themselves and get the results straight from the background check agency. It's far too easy to forge or doctor up a certificate, which is probably what someone is going to do if they have any negative information show up (either that or refuse to provide a background check, which would be the smarter thing to do.)
