Just finished faxing back the whole 130 pages

in the loan. If and when I buy another printer I will get one with a monster ADF. The one I have now does up to 35 pages (high 20s really), so such a large file needs several passes to scan in all the docs. It took a while to do. But on normal 35+ page fax back it takes a while to sort out the docs to be faxed back looking at the list of docs to be faxed back and searching through the file. No sure which is quicker. Both are worth $25 but rarely get that much.

ok, so you posted....here's my .02 -- don't do this! It makes no sense & if you agree you are creating a mess for the rest of us. It's just because the ss has hired notaries who are lacking in know-how. I'll pay you $25.00 NOT to agree to do it! Be smart & sort out those "critical" docs sometimes requested when you first receive the pkg, while you are reviewing the package (at least) if not tabbing it up. Eventually it won't be "easier" when something goobers up in sending, or you run out of time to do it. You have to watch every single page as it goes through to be sure that it does. get it? if it's a scan file of 129 pages, what do you do then? more time checking what's missing.
Ok, and for that $25 payment I'm promising, just send those invoices to : po box PO Box 22089 SanDiego CA 92192

Re: I accept your offer of the $25

Just send it to the PO Box you listed. Not sure how anyone of us faxing back a full package creates a "mess" for you???

try to see this on a national level. If you didn't want opinions, why did you post? How many are faxing back entire packages? what hiring party is requiring this? nobody that's called me ever for a refi.

She's right - this is right along the same lines as

if I take $75 for a job it doesn't hurt anyone else.

I almost never have faxbacks - it's just get the job and do it. My only faxbacks are investment properties and purchases - and for purchases I make sure the location has fax capability. If I can't fax back from on-site, then it's extra - and for $130 pages? Call Kinkos and ask them how much that would cost to do it there. Someone posted elsewhere they had to fax back about 50 pages and it was over $100 at a fax facility.

Yes...I agree with her. It may not, on its own, create a mess for us, but it certainly contributes to one.

This is crazy. You must have lost money on this one unless you don't value your time.

Have you lost your mind? I would never do that. I balk at faxing back at all because the nearest drop box is a 25 mile rt, and they rarely want to pay enough to cover the gas let alone the PITA factor of fishing out and then putting the docs back afterwards.

I'm not sure I see how this helps the OP

maybe I'm missing something

If he has to scan/fax 130 pages but his adf only has a 35 page capacity...it's not a software issue - it's a hardware issue, i.e. a scanner with a too-small adf.

Well, you told us yesterday you got $50 to fax back this pkg

Msg #493757

My ADF is only for 50 pages, and I haven't personally seen one that I can afford that has a larger capacity ADF.

Personally, if I get fax-backs, they become scan-backs.
I don't bother breaking down the package, unless it's only a few pages needed, but normally just scan back the whole package and let them sort through what they want or "need".
This technique has saved me a PITA when I have the pkg scanned, when someone tries to tell me they didn't receive a certain page returned, and I can provide the scanned package as "proof".

get around $10 for around 35 pages, but I think it is worth $25 all things considered.

Re: I did get $50 on this fax back but usually

I always ask if there are faxbacks... if they are the fee goes up $25 and the package doesn't go out till the next day. The only exception I make is a purchase closing in a real estate office where they can fax it back before I leave....

Re: I did get $50 on this fax back but usually

They do not want to pay additional here for fax backs, regardless of size lately in FL. Business too slow, and will find someone cheaper if you make a stink. 99% of the time the realtor can scan the thing back quickly, so not an issue with me, just need to be aware to make let the realtor know if it is available at the closing. When 1/2 package done, they can start with that while I finish the closing. That way, not as time consuming, and everyone happy. They would never ever pay $50.00 extra down here...they squawk even at $10.00-15.00.

I was under the impression it was a refi, but I could be

wrong - if I'm right, no realtor involved so not so easy peasy.

Also, at the deals where I *AM* at a realtor's office (or yes, even at the lender) and the whole package has to go back, half the package doesn't leave my sight while I finish the other half - it all gets done at once. I supervise everything and that package does not leave my sight.

I almost never have faxbacks mostly because I won't do them for free - if they can't (or won't) pay me for the services they're requesting, then I'm not the company for them.

100% agree with you, Linda. A business owner must know who their actual market is.

...In my 9 years of doing closings I have never had a Realtor run off with my package or lose pages on the way to the scanner. lol Sorry Linda, but if I can save 30 minutes of my time at a closing, I trust the realtor to go into the printer room and start scanning or faxing to save time at a closing.

I just faxed back 123 pg; had to fund that day before 5pm.

They couldn't wait for me to return to my office, so I had to go to Kinkos - $216 - they didn't blink. They paid $102 for 52 pgs same deal...never a problem.

130 pgs for $25??? ROTFLMAO & SMH!!!

1) You get what you ask for in sales & 2) you "usually get

... around $10" because that is what YOU accept (which basically means that IS what you are asking for).

If a company is unwilling to pay your fees for service, why discount yourself and your services for companies that do not respect what you are offering? If YOU accept $5, $10, $25, or whatever, for faxing back (regardless the number of pages), that is your business decision, but, IMO, you lose all rights to complain about "only getting (what you charged/accepted)".

In sales, if someone discounts ($) their services, or work, it means that, almost always, they do not believe that they, their work, or their services, are actually what they are attempting to say they are (or are pretending to charge).

Committing oneself to education thru listening to audio programs, live training, or even reading some books regarding closing the sale, sales (in general), and self confidence, can have a huge impact on their bottom line (if the information is acted upon properly).
