North Carolina Signing Agents, we need this.

Many Signing Agents across the US have or are organizing in response to the new standards. And that's a positive response. But I am reading a lot of the various opinions being posted here and many are valid, and on point and all should be considered. So, for North Carolina I say, if any of you are already in an organized group as such, please include all NC Signing Agents. Perhaps you can post openly how all NC Signing Agents can get involved. As I said previously, we are all on the same team. And since I'm not aware of any organized group of North Carolina Signing Agents I stepped up to host a symposium on November 30, in hopes of building a network for our state. Nevertheless, if any of you are already sponsoring, hosting, establishing, or are a member of an organized effort, perhaps the rest of us in North Carolina can get involved with your group to have our voices heard also. It is imperative that someone does something, unbiased, and collectively for the benefit of all North Carolina signing Agents. So I'm asking Signing Agents in North Carolina, please take" ACTION " to offer your time and effort in a constructive fashion to help bring North Carolina Signing Agents together to discuss our future in this industry. If you can host a meeting, I'd like to attend, if you would like to attend the Nov 30 symposium, I welcome "all " North Carolina Signing Agents, but seriously, we need to formulate these opinions and suggestions in a manner that gets captured and does not dissipate into the air. Again, please notify those of us in North Carolina of your efforts to bring us together, and if you are not leading an effort to bring us together, please RSVP for the symposium, or email me your concerns and suggestions so that they can be addressed along with everyone else's.
Question ===If I said " We need to begin the process of coming together " would you agree with that? Would you take the first step? What would your plan of "action" be?

All on the same team? I think not

You appear to be in full support of these measures - as posted elsewhere:

"Has anyone else read about the new standards for "Signing Agents" being required to become "Signing Specialist"? This will become industry standard and required of us all. It's a positive change. So I encourage all to read about it on the NNA website for the specifics. We all will be required to meet the new standards so I thought it would be helpful to share the good news. I'm planning a symposium / conference for north carolina notaries so if any of my fellow Carolinians would like to contact me, please do so at your convenience. I'd welcome an opportunity for us all to get on the same page and represent our state well in the industry. I think it might encourage lenders to do more business in North Carolina if they know the can trust our services. "

What is your game Help For Homeowners?

You are obviously not the one to lead any effort for the benefit of notaries and I doubt after seeing this anyone will "invite" you in.

WHAT?

No one is going to post on a public forum what they are doing and you don't even list a phone number or email to contact you. And did you know Nov 30 is a holiday weekend?

If your goal is to get together as many people as you can, Nov 30th is not a good date as it is Thanksgiving weekend.

That's 3 or 4 times now she's been told that

both here and elsewhere. Apparently it doesn't matter to her - or she's not listening to the notaries that she purports to care about.

Sounds just like a certain organization we all know and love... Smile
