Notary Assurance
" There is an annual fee of $10.95 to register as a provider in our database." Saw this on their website, is this the wave of the future?

Never paid a fee to them and have done many, many loans for
them over a perior of maybe 3-4 years. This has never stopped them from calling me.

Re: Never paid a fee to them and have done many, many loans for
Likewise, never paid a sign-up fee to NA. They don't have a lot of jobs in my area, of which I'm aware. I do perhaps 5 or 6 signings for them, each year. Usually, I'm paid within 30 to 45 days. Unfortunately, I'm now at 53 days, and counting. For a signing on 9/17, check was cut on 10/18 (that might tell you something), and "probably mailed on 11/1 or 11/2" (to quote the lady with whom I spoke). As of 11/8, I'm still waiting. Will update SC after payment is received. Companies that pay after 30 days cause me to worry about their intent and stability.

That's funny, there is now a $10.95 fee to have me complete such a registration...

RE: my reply of 11/8/13 2:41pm (two lines above this)
NA did come through with my check. For signing of 9/17, check was printed 10/18, mailed a couple of weeks later (around 11/1 or 11/2), and received on 11/9. 54 days is too long for me! I think I'll be a bit reluctant to accept future assignments. SC updated,
