Printer Help
I just discovered my nw HP8600 pro does not recognize legal and letter in the same document. i.e. when scanning - only can scan all legal or all letter i.e. when printing - only can print all legal or all letter Previous models did recognize varying sizes within a single document. I was just informed by tech services (after almost 4 hours of phone time) that this was a software change and none of the newer models have this capabilities. After 20 years I will need to change printer brands!!! 1st- heads up to everyone looking to purchase new printer - do not buy HP 2nd - Help- I need a quality, reliable multi-function printer that does have this feature. Please advise.....

Try Brother printers or use orange search key and look up the printer discussions that have been on the forum. I have a Brother HL-5370 DWT and love it. Plus a Brother tech will take you step by step through the process of setting it up.

Brother 5470dwt is great, but doesn't scan
I use their MFC7360 for that, but scanning you set if you want it to be a legal or letter document.

Christine The HP8600 is not a laser printer. Loan docs should be printed via laser printer not inkjet. (unless standards of changed)
