Reverse mortgage
What would you charge for a reverse mortgage including printing and faxing or scanning the entire package back? I guess my fee was too high since I got the "I'll have to get that approved" and then didn't hear back. Too bad since the company has a good reputation and the signing was fairly close to me.

I agree with pan/nd. IMO there's no reason to have to
scan & email the whole pkg. anyway. There's a 3-day RTC in those.

Yep - at least $200 - my fee for rm's is higher due to
size of packages and time involved - they're more costly as it is - fax back the whole package? Base fee plus $1/page for faxbacks plus extra fee for special trip to drop package

Re: Realistically, RM are bigger and take longer
But, I am printing and driving anyway and business is slow, so I'd add $15 to my normal fee for the RM. Faxing back what is probably in excess of 150 pages will take 5 passes as my ADF only holds 35 pages, so that is going to take more time including faxing or emailing each separately so as not to bump up against max fax loads. Reasonably probably worth another $25 but I could probably only get another $10 or so. So a grand total of another $25. Not what I used to get, would like to get, or even what it is worth; but probably can't get more in this market. Can you say how much over your normal fee you asked?

Re: Realistically, RM are bigger and take longer
I usually charge $125 - 135 for a reverse and rounded up to $150 for faxing or scanning back the entire package. My fax machine isn't fast and will only take 6-8 pages at a time without jamming, so I would use my scanner. At 200 dpi, I usually only send about 10 pages at a time through and that would be several scans/attachments for the entire package. Anyway, I'm sure someone took the $125 that was offered.
