That time of month again and it's early

EOM week with Friday and Saturday being the EOM and final week to make money before Christmas. Wish everyone the best.

Technically it's Monday the 25th - can still sign and fund a

rescindable loan on Saturday the 30th.

Re: Technically it

You're correct, but limited banks fund on Saturday.

Technically, Sunday would do...........

Three days with RTC would be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Skipping Thursday (Thanksgiving) funding would thus be on Friday, the 29th.

Sunday signings

I average 2-3 per year. Pretty rare indeed!

Re: Closing on Monday the 25th - RTC Tues, Wed, & Friday....

Linda is correct....Monday is officially EOM day because Saturday does count as a funding day. Not all title companies like to come in and fund on a Saturday and that is why many will like to get the bulk of their business done on Friday......but in emergency situations, last minute closings, loans can close on Monday and still fund in the month of November.

In regard to Sunday closings.......I do about one every two to three months.

Super technical

Perhaps it is done differently in other states. The lender is the one that funds the loan. The title company receives the funds and then disburses them. I know, I know. Just stating this in case a newbie is reading.

Never had a loan fund on Saturday in the 8 years...

...I have been closing loans, and I bet TC staff won't be coming in on Thanksgiving weekend.

I remember one TC who funded on Saturdays back in 2005-6

I think they were all Countrywide loans.

I remember going into work at the attorneys office

to disburse on a Saturday - if that money hits Friday (business day) clients are banging down doors to get their checks..

It's rare - but it does happen - and it's a possibility.
