 Cat Urine
Posted by  Claudine Osborne on 6/1/17 9:17pm

I did a Refi yesterday that included scan backs. No problem. Today I get a call from the SS that the package arrived wet with cat urine! The lender asked for me to go back and backdate . Not possible. I will not backdate for any reason.

I was asked if the BO had a cat? NO, Did I have a cat? Yes an outdoor cat. I was appalled! First of all I am a true professional and would never ever send a package back in anything less than in pristine condition, my office and home are immaculate. The SS was very apologetic that she had to make this call to me.

I was just so upset that they implied such a thing occurred! I hand delivered the package to the fed ex driver in the plastic pak. So if anything got into that package, it certainly wasn't from my end!

After I calmed down I remained professional while talking to her. I started thinking and remembered that I had to scan back documents. If there were any marks of wetness on the documents as claimed wouldn't that show up on the scans? Nothing showed up. I know that its a bogus claim but I still cant help being upset about this.

Now makes me wonder if this has caused a riff between me and this SS as I do a lot of work with them and it would really hurt my business. I told the SS that why would I endanger my reputation with them by doing something like that? Time will tell I guess!
