I believe it's sort of a gimmicky thing since State Title licensed (settlement) agents carry at least $250k E & O here, in addition to surety bond. TC employees are not registered - just the companies; so for INSURANCE PURPOSES only, working for TC "agent" as an "employee" (vendor) requires no "Signing Agent" insurance. Would think MN (for OP) and other title-licensing States would similarly have its own policy for its agents appointed by Bureau of Insurance (or whomever appoints title producers in your State).
