It appears Mr. Borrower is a control freak at the very least. Only thing I might have done re his position about "illegal" wiring of funds is point to the part on the Quicken doc that they fill in if they want it wired. That would have got me a dirty look from him or into a dispute. No man wants to be taken on in front of his wife ... esp by a notary, in my experience. So it's probably good you didn't speak up cos he'd by on the phone to Quicken right now complaining about the loud mouth notary they sent out. Did Quicken have the check made out to both of them or just him?

Who knows what he's up to ... the surprise honeymoon seems to be off the table tho. At least Mrs. Borrower saw all the docs and signed.
