 Hackers too!
Posted by Pacific Alliance Notary Service on 8/22/19 4:56pm

I have recently been hacked with my business debit card making a purchase with Amazon. Right after I made the purchase 3 emails popped up on the screen thanking me for sending someone $50.00 with an E-card. 3 emails totaling $150.00 I gave someone with a yopmail.com email address. Since I have found out yopmail.com is a 'throw away email address! It is still not over but Amazon said they couldn't help me because they could not verify I was who I said I was. My bank said they weren't sure if they could do anything except investigate the claim! After persistent calling my bank they finally gave my money back but pending the investigation they might take it back. Ridiculous experience. But we weren't done yet. They hacked my emails and all of my contacts were sent an email saying thank you for your order and your purchase of ___? was approved. I had people I haven't spoken with for a long time replying they never made a purchase, etc. Some very upset and rightly so. I have had 2 new debit cards replaced so far.
Very disturbing and sad that this is what we have come to in this world. I was told that using your debit card at a lot of gas stations is one way to get hit. Not the more reputable ones, but the smaller stations with cheaper gas.
