Then you have an opportunity to take it or leave it.
If you gave them the quote of $225.00 and did the closing, and have that in your confirmation, that all that matters, that is what they owe you.
If that is not in their budget, you can give it back to them. We run our own business, and they need to know their fee to pay when they called you and accepted your fee.
I never look on the CD what the notary fee is because it is hardly what we get so I do not aggravate myself. As long as they meet what I will do it for, that is all that matters.
