I wouldn't recommend this for anyone looking for money 'in a real pinch', either. Not only are there significant up-front costs, it will take a while to find business, and then another while before the checks start rolling in.

Having said that, some folks are more entrepreneurial minded than others, so a J.O.B. might not be the right answer for everyone. BUT I strongly recommend that people have a clear understanding of what the potential ROI is before they jump in with both feet. Maybe they should take their "be-my-own-boss" dreams to something else.
